Alternative Water Treatment (AWS) Plant Pipeline Relocation Project
Project Description:
The major work consists of the installation of approximately 3,400 linear feet of new 12-inch raw water pipeline, along with essential components such as valves, fittings, air release valves, blow-off systems, etc. This pipeline connects the Pine Mountain Lake Emergency Water Supply pumps to the Alternative Water Supply (AWS) treatment plant which is being permanently relocated from the PML maintenance yard to GCSD property near the dog park. This pipeline transmits water from Pine Mountain Lake to be treated by GCSD to serve the entire water system, when the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is taken off line for repairs or emergency.

Urban and Multibenefit Drought Relief Grant Award: $8,570,000.00
Four part project includes: AWS Pipeline Relocation, AWS Treatment Plant Relocation, Hardrock Groundwater Well, and Tank & Pipeline Project.
