Alternative Water Supply (AWS) Treatment Plant Relocation Project 

Project Description:

The major work consists of site preparation activities such as earthwork, grading and asphalt resurfacing. Installation of a potable water pipeline, complete with valves, fittings, and thrust blocks. The project also involves the placement of a, fire hydrant, as well as the setup of chemical and drain piping systems to support operational needs. Additionally, existing trailer-mounted equipment for alternative water supply water treatment plant will be carefully relocated  from Pine Mountain Lake Association Maintenance Yard and reinstalled on new concrete foundations located at GCSD's District property.

$1,819,400.00

Funding Source:

Urban and Multibenefit Drought Relief Grant Award: $8,545,000.00

Four part project includes: AWS Pipeline Relocation, AWS Treatment Plant Relocation, Hardrock Groundwater Well, and Tank & Pipeline Project.

Community Project Benifits: 

  • Ensure reliable backup water when the Mountain Tunnel is offline

  • Add a 10,000-gallon Clearwell tank for better storage

  • Reconfigure chlorine treatment to improve safety and efficiency

  • Modernize pumps, electrical, and filtration systems

Engineer:

The Engineer for this Project is AM CONSUL TING ENGINEERS, INC. (Engineer), which is to act as Owner's representative, assume all duties and responsibilities, and have the rights and authority assigned to Engineer in the Contract Documents in connection with the completion of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
