Wastewater Treatment

GCSD is responsible for Wastewater Collection for approximately 1,500 residents of the Groveland and Big Oak Flat communities. The Wastewater Collection System includes 16 sewage lift stations, 35 miles of gravity mains, 7 miles of force mains, a recycled water treatment plant, 2 surface storage reservoirs, and approximately 15 acres of spray fields.

Fire Department

The Groveland Fire Department was created by Groveland Community Services District (GCSD) Board action in 1973 and has a jurisdictional authority area of approximately 14.9 square miles, protecting over 4,500 residents in Groveland, Big Oak Flat, and the surrounding communities.

In 2013, GCSD entered into a cooperative Schedule A Agreement with CAL FIRE, under which CAL FIRE provides fire protection and emergency response personnel and services, fully funded by GCSD.
