Heavy Equipment Operator – Collections & Distribution Department

Al Deshaies serves as a Heavy Equipment Operator in Groveland Community Services District’s Collections & Distribution Department. With a long history of experience in heavy equipment operation and construction, Al brings valuable hands-on knowledge and a strong work ethic to the GCSD team.

Al enjoys the variety that comes with working for the District. He appreciates being able to work on different projects and take on new challenges, while also enjoying the opportunity to work alongside his co-workers. Al takes pride in doing quality work every time and approaches each project with the goal of getting the job done right.

During his time with GCSD, Al has contributed to a variety of projects throughout the District and community. Some of his accomplishments include helping get a strong start on the office remodel, constructing Halloween props, and assisting with the installation of the Groveland Disc Golf Course. His ability to work with equipment, construction materials, and his fellow crew members makes him a versatile and dependable member of the C&D team.

Al enjoys working in the Groveland community because of the relationships he has built with his co-workers. For Al, the people he works alongside are an important part of what makes the job enjoyable. And, of course, he also appreciates every other Friday, the day he gets to enjoy a well-earned day off!
